Mom of three, ex-corporate marketer here. I felt every word of this to my core. After 15 years of trying to make it all work, I stepped into lower ambition roles, thinking that would help me reduce the mental load (it didn’t, now I’m just in more debt, lol). I’m 40 now and finally starting to feel some of the balance I’ve craved forever. Thanks for the great perspective and tips, I’m ready to give these transitions a try. And I look forward to the book!

Wow if I didn't have a visceral reaction *against* the title of this. And I liked what it pointed to as I read - being able to transition, be fluid in our identities, not have to grip them so tight.

I think this is pointing toward what I've found which is - I can bring my whole self everywhere I go, and I can also allow certain things to be for certain aspects of myself, so long as I keep track of my whole self and am nurturing it over the long run.

Which for me, is bringing my whole self, and letting certain parts dance and take the reigns in particular situations.
