Today’s my first day back from nap jail parental leave. I’ve been anticipating this day. Which is weird. I usually dread coming back to work. This time’s different. You’re here. I’m here. Let’s do this. On my recent sabbatical, I needed to do nothing. I stopped everything. No work, no writing, no social media, no consulting. I’d say I was 80% recharged after six months.
Nice! I'm about to embark on my own first child experience and accompanying leave and am very curious how it will go.
What struck me is I continue to meet entrepreneurs and operators who are gravitating towards some form of art like writing. It feels like the world is coming alive to understand that art is more fun then managing people for many operators and that it is possible to make a good living out of it!
Let's GO, Spinks!!
Float like a butterfly, sting like a bee!
Welcome back.
reading this one: "I’m going to write and write and write until either writing becomes my full-time thing, or it leads me to my full-time thing." made me think of this discussion: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0ODnePeFtc7rDf8RQlOcqJ?si=bR2FYshHTq-1JqXFo6YXvA
and as french parents, I also highly reco that quick one: https://awanderwoman.substack.com/p/confidence-and-cie
This read was smooth as butter, the writing work might be paying off
