Love the image of a parts storm! I envision my parts as a Greek Chorus that shows up on the stage of my life’s play, all opining at me. Thanks for breaking down your recipe for getting back above the line. ❤️

Thanks for sharing, David! I've been thinking about a lot of the same concepts as I'm coming off a sabbatical where I focused on inner work, and have been ramping back up on work as I job search. Some things I resonated with:

-I love how your meditation/journaling practice allows you to more easily recognize your emotions. My meditation/journaling practice helps me with this too! Nature walks help me a lot too

-I've delved into IFS this year as well and it's totally changed the way I relate to myself and understand overwhelm and my emotions.

-I like what you mentioned about surrender and allowing the universe to unfold, I've adopted more of that perspective recently as well

I’m so glad to know more of you :-) I also have the fears of making Downshift my entire identity, which I did as a startup founder. You definitely aren’t alone ❤️ i’m working on distinguishing passion fromovercompensation. It’s subtle and I would love to continue the conversation!
